    Sure.  But before you do that, make sure the vet does a OCV on them to
make sure that they are okay for the surgery.  If they are too anemic,
either they will need a transfusion, or not do the surgery.  There's no
sense doing a surgery on a ferret with a PCV or 12 or less, they won't
survive it.
