Ferrets are incredible little creatures.  They live for the moment and take
immense pleasure in everything they do.  I don't have to tell you all this,
you are already aware of these facts.  I have compiled a little "why is it?"
list, maybe you have had the pleasure of these experiences as well.  If not,
just wait, you will!
 
- Why-zit that no matter how clean, well swept or vacuumed your floor is,
  your feet become instant kibble magnets and find that tiny little kibble
  bit that one of ferrets just happened to drop right where human feet tend
  to tread?
- Why-zit that everytime you congratulate yourself on finally out-ferreting
  the ferrets that one or more of the little "stinkers' will prove to you
  just how thoroughly you've been conned?
- Why-zit that ferrets have exceptional "selective" hearing, totally
  ignoring that which they don't care to hear, but responding in a
  nano-second to "treat treat"?
- Why-zit that ferrets have such incredible esp that even the most
  dead-to-the-world-asleep ferret manages to arrive at the exit door just
  prior to the human's reaching it?
- Why-zit that ferrets aren't supposed to be able to climb according to some
 books, yet mine seem capable of reaching heights of 7 feet in less than 10
 seconds?
- Why-zit that ferrets who have just finished eating his/her food must rush
  over to a rival's food dish and begin feasting again in such a manner that
  one would believe that he/she hadn't been fed in a week?
- Why-zit that fresh water in the water dish must be snorkled in?
- Why-zit that ferrets seem to know who is the least patient of humans in
  the household and take great delight in teasing that human?
- Why-zit that ferrets are reported to have poor eyesight, yet mine detect
  minute movements on the far side of the room?
- Why-zit that no matter how many ferrets one has, one always wants one more?
- Why-zit that ferrets always find that one place that you don't want them
  to be?
- Why-zit that one no longer has potted plants like he/she used to have?
- Why-zit that potatoes are supposed to be stored underneath the couch?
- Why-zit that every pair of shoes no longer have insoles?
- Why-zit that every ferret owner has a complete set of unmatched socks?
- Why-zit that the remote has as much appeal to a ferret as it does to the
  human male?
- Why-zit books belong on the floor and not in the book shelves?
- Why-zit no matter how much damage a ferret does, he/she always ends up
  getting a treat?
- Why-zit that the food input does not equal the output?
- Why-zit human drink glasses belong on their side and the more full that
  the glass originally was is inversely proportionate to the speed with
  which it gets tipped over?
- Why-zit that no matter how ferret-proofed the human thinks a place is, it
  is merely unexplored territory to a ferret?
- Why-zit no matter how hard you try to prevent it, they always end up
  stealing your heart?
