AMEN! I don't often post to the FML; only when I feel it is something
extremely important. And this is something I feel very strongly about. I
work at an animal hospital and we see countless numbers of neglected ferrets
come in and our bulletin board is crammed with "ferrets for sale" ads.
Please take some responsibility and have some compasion. Stop breeding
ferrets! Especially you larger, mass production farms. There is an over
supply on the market. If you don't want to stop breeding all together then
cut your breeding rate dramatically. In the end it can only benifit all.
The new kits will get more personalized handling and attention making them
more loveable towards humans, less animals will go to "neglegent,
uneducated" homes and those of us who have taken the time to learn all we
can and love them in spite won't have to have our hearts constantly broken.
