I have a question...is anyone feeding their ferrets Bob's Chicken Gravy
without cooking it?

All of my other animals get was is called the BARF (bones and raw foods)
diet. So I figure, why not the ferrets?

I contacted Ian Billinghurst in Australia who wrote "Give Your Dog A
Bone"...and he doesn't see a problem with the ferrets getting raw foods
like they would naturally.

At any rate, my 7 month old boy just went in for altering & weighs almost 5
lbs...solid muscle. The vet said she has never seen such a large ferret
that wasn't fat. He is my first baby that has eaten raw foods from baby
hood. I always leave totally ferret out for them in case they want it, but
I very rarely have to refill the bowl. I am currently feeding raw foods
twice a day to 10 ferrets & all seem fine. I serve about 10 ounces each
time.

So far the only problem I have had is that I cannot give this diet to the
ferrets in the rescue, (they don't like switching back to kibble) and no
one wants to continue feeding raw foods to them when they get adopted out!
That is how I went from 8 to 10 ferrets!

I just wanted to read what others have to say.

Thanks,
Jeanine Brawn of the
