Hi All,

I have a friend that has three ferrets. Two were already a pair and get
along just fine but the other guy gets beat up all the time still to this
day! He got attacked so bad in the beginning that his neck was literally
covered in scabs and fairly badly infected before it was noticed. They are
no longer let out together without very close supervision and never sleep
together. Some ferrets may just plain NEVER get along. If you leave them
to fight it out on their own and this is the case you are asking for a
ferret to be killed or injured or at the least the scabbing with infection
to occur. Most ferrets eventually do work it out but usually with a bit of
help from Mom or Dad and constant supervision in the beginning. PLEASE
realize that just like people ALL fuzzies can't be expected to accept all
other fuzzies. I would really hate someone to follow that advice and end up
with either a dead ferret or a badly injured one. Please read that section
in the Ferret FAQ and follow the advice given there. It was gathered from
many people on this list that have been through this numerous times and
learned from each new encounter. Thanks for listening and please follow the
advice in the FAQ! TNT!
