I have permission to cross post this and I would really like to see some
of our volunteers take part in this.  What better way to give back during
the holidays?  I've been told there are car pools, busses and trains as
well as air fare discounts.  If you need more information, please let
me know and I'll get you in touch.  If I could get my disabled arse out
there and someone to cover my shelter, I would love nothing more than to
spend my holidays doing this.

My name s Tiffany Longarini, I live in Toronto.  I will be travelling
to New Orleans Dec 27 to join Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO).  I am
writting you today to solicit your support.  Currently there are less
than 20 people a day volunteering in the greater NO areas and there are
THOUSANDS of animals clinging to life on the streets.  Attached are some
posters I would sincerely appreciate you putting up at your facility or
on your website.
 
I am hoping you would be interested in donating supplies, or perhaps you
or your members would be interested in making the journey to save these
innocent souls.  These are animals of all species (rabbits, horses,
birds, cats, dogs and reptiles) who either have already been rescued but
are in need of professional care, or are still waiting to be rescued.
In the spirit of giving, please give your time to make a difference in
the lives of animals who have endured so much suffering, only to die of
starvation on the streets without your help.  If you decide to come,
there are accomodations, you will be fed three square meals a day, there
are showers and laundry facilities available for FREE!  Please come.
Don't think "someone else will." The fact is we have had as few as 20
volunteers shows "someone else" WON'T come.  WE NEED YOU!
