I just got home from vacation and found Hershey looking very sick.
She is staggering around, and holding her head sideways, looking
very dizzy, and seems to have lost weight over the five days I
was away. She was given plenty of food over the five days, and I did have
someone looking after them while I was gone. I haven't seen any
signs of pain or discomfort, nor did I feel any unusual lumps
in her neck, head, or abdomen when I held her. She still takes
raisins and is drinking water, and remains quite active, though
she shows little interest in her Iams food, at least right now.

Nestle' is looking fine, though it is clear she is also worried. She's
grooming Hershey quite a bit, which she does only occasionally most
of the time.

I've called the vet (it's midnight right now, so I just left a message
to see her tomorrow), given her some vitamins in her water and some
extra Ferretone, and I'm just watching her and letting her rest for now.

I think it might be an ear infection, though I"m concerned about
other possibilities, such as a concussion, abscessed tooth, or
something even more serious. If you have any ideas, your help would
be greatly appreciated, as would any wishes for a good outcome.

Thanks.

E.S., Hershey and Nestle'
