Try buying some rolls of plastic tarp. Measure the area of your fencing,
then buy enough tarp to cover the length needed. Try to get the rolls with
the widest widths, as well.

Next, dig a small trench (about 12" deep) and pour some kerosene into the
entire trench. When the kerosene has had time to seep into the soil, lay
one edge of the tarp in the trench, in a trough-like manner. In other
words, lay the edge of the tarp in to cover the entire bottom and come back
up about 4 inches on the other side. Please SMOOTH, heavy rocks on the
tarp, then fill the rest of the trench with stone. You can get decorative
stone at your hardware store to do this. Stop about 2" from the top and
fill the remainder with dirt. If you carefully cut the sod away before
doing the digging, you can now replace that sod on top of the dirt. If
you place the tarp on the inside of the trench and curl the bottom portion
to the outside of the trench, your fuzzie won't be able to dig in fresh
dirt! :)

After replacing the sod, be sure to water well to help it start growing
back. After a week or so, it should start taking root and, if done
properly, will cover the trench quite nicely! A little fertilizer wouldn't
hurt for helping it stay healthy.

It is also wise to supervise your fuzzie, even if it seems that the area is
ferret-proofed. Fuzzies have a tendency to *create* hazards where none
existed before! :)

[P.S.]

A side note: The reason for the kerosene is to prevent two things. First,
it prevents ground-burrowing critters from undermining your construction
project. The other reason is to prevent your fuzzie, if they ever get the
inclination to dig, from burrowing under the tarp. The smell will keep the
fuzzie in and the construction safe! :)
