Sorry, I'm behind on my FML reading.........but, yes, ferret legging is
really an ancient British tradition.  It is derived from poachers' habits
of concealing their ferrets about their persons whenever necessary to avoid
being arrested.  It seems to be more of a northern thing for some reason!
We have many strange "sports".....but not as many weird ones as the
Japanese!  :-)
 
BTW...........ferrets DO like going down dark "tunnels" anyway............I
reckon they're probably quite happy about it...........it's the guys that
get nipped that deserve a bit of sympathy (not too much though,cos they're
obviously nuts in the first case!  :-) )
