Hello,

I have really enjoyed reading the FML for the past few weeks. I am
embarrassed to say I just discovered you, even with being a ferret
lover for quite a few years.

My first ferret came to me over 20 years ago when my boyfriend at the
time brought Figment home to me as a birthday present. I took one look
at her, she was just a tiny little thing, and immediately thought what
the heck is this cute adorable creature. I knew absolutely nothing
about how to care for a ferret. I searched every bookstore for anything
ferret related. I still have a complete set of the Modern Ferret
magazine and a collection of newer and old books.

She unfortunately did not live for very long and my heart was broken.
Not too long after she passed I discovered my local ferret shelter and
have had the honor of living with ferrets on and off over the years. I
am a regular volunteer at my shelter as well; I cannot imagine life
with out them.
