To Diane, Alex, and Rocket, who loves bacon grease.  PLEASE do not feed your
fuzzie bacon grease, no matter how much he loves it.  We had some miserable
experiences after regularly feeding the dog bacon grease on her food.  Our vet
told us that bacon grease is basically concentrated carcinogens, for several
reasons.  First, there is a high concentration of sodium nitrate and other
preservatives in the grease.  Second, the action of cooking preserved fats
changes the chemical structure of the fat, making it difficult to digest.
Third, animal fats are much less healthy than vegetable oils and other
mono-unsaturated fats. The dog was very sick for a long time.  Please treat
your fuzzie with linatone or ferretone instead.
