This appears in today's Detroit Free Press:
 
"KALAMAZOO: The City Council voted Monday to add ferrets to the city's list
of banned pets, joining alligators, bears, birds of prey, panthers,
chimpanzees and venomous or constricting reptiles."
 
Evidently, there is no law prohibiting chimpanzees or idiots from holding
office in Kazoo.
