hello everyone, it's been a while since i wrote in but i'm really in need
of any help that you can offer.

two night ago i noticed a scab forming on Calvin's neck (~1 inch behind
his left ear) i'm not sure what caused the wound but i put some hydrogen
peroxide on it in hope of disinfecting it ( surprisingly caldidn't object
too much). The probelm is this... i guess the scab it rather itchy (as
they can be) and Cal keep scratching at it with his hind legs. The
regular scratching has made the scab larger and there is no longer any
hair where the scab is (~.5 inch in diameter). the situation gets worse
in that there are no vets that are familiar with ferrets in the area so i
have to wait till the weekend when i get back home.
does anyone know of anything i can do to prevent him from scratching the
area any more....i don't think a gauze wrap would last too long.
any advice is appreciated in advance.
                                        thanks again
