My Smokey boy is the brains of the crew.  I have our formal dinning room as
the ferret room.  Two gates cover to entrance.  They are about 3.5 ft tall.
Just tall enough that the ferrets can't jump over.  But our Smokey found a
way.  He found that if the tube is near the gates he can stand on it and
jump over.  Or if the bread box ( with holes for their enjoyment) is close
he can use that to jump over.  Well I try keeping that stuff away from the
gates.  Also I have a piano stool next one up just for good measure, and we
can use it to sit on while we play with the crew.  The stool is high enough
that Smokey can't just jump on it but if the toys are near he can.  Last
night as he was searching for a way to escape he was standing on the bread
box.  He knew it was to far from the gates.  Then he saw me sitting on the
stool.  I could see the light bulb going on over his head.  If I get mom to
hold me I can jump off her shoulder and ESCAPE!!  It was really funny to
see him planning he strategy.  Of course I let him climb on my lap and then
to my shoulder and just as he was about to jump I grabbed him.  The look on
his face.  Poor boy thought he had me.  Ferrets ya got to love em!
 
On another note so many people are complaining about all the fighting that
has been going on and yet I read today another person opening a can of
worms.  Will it ever stop?  I really hope so, and soon.
