The drug of choice for ferrets with respiratory symptoms (sneezey
snifflings) is diphenhyramine, aka Benadryl.
 
My 2, Buttons and Cookie, have had the flu and been on it since the
weekend.  they've both been eating and drinking ok, though activity level
is down a bit.  Buttons is back on the upswing, but poor Cookie still gets
such severe sneezing fits that her tail bushes out and she poofs!
 
Anyway, they are getting the generic store brand of the children's formula,
and think it's just yummy.
