OK guys - here's one I've never seen discussed - how do you pill a ferret?

Slinky has a gi problem - diarhea (spp?) consistently, slight lethargy, and
appetite slightly off. He's OK, though - he drinks plenty of water, shows
no signs of dehydration, etc. Went to the vet this AM, and he was
prescribed with an antibiotic I hadn't heard of (Flagyl, or something close
to that). He gets a 1/8 of a pill at a time. I tried some in juice - no
go. I did get a whole pill into his mouth - he just spit it out.

So how do I get him to swallow? Do ferrets have a reflex like cats where
they will swallow if you stroke their throat?

Thanks for the help...

Best - Mason and a sleepy, sick Slinky (and Pogo, who looks fine and can't
understand why no one will play with him!).
