Got off work this morning around 8 and let the kids out. It was a long
night and I was exhausted. I planned on sleeping until around 5 this
evening then getting up and ready to come back to work, but the ferrets
had other plans! Kiki has taught MB how to climb onto the bed. Those
three paws that I hadn't clipped yet... well, they are now! I couldn't
take the pain. They were SO long. I don't know if I cut them short
enough. I'm always afraid to cut them too short. So I think when I take
them in to Dr. Lennox I'll have them cut both of their claws good so they
won't have to be done for a while. The biospot that I tried on them
yesterday appears to have worked well. I didn't see a single flea today.
(Yeah!) So I think I got rid of them before they could become a nuisance.

Ferret Food Comparison Chart:
I don't know how many of you have already come across this but I liked
that they were thorough enough to have Sheppard & Greene (according to
the mfr it's only been out a month or so)It's worth looking at if you
have any doubts as to the quality of food you're using.

First Aid Kit:
I was reading the Peg's post about Frolic and realized I need to get a
first aid kit together! I have lots of stuff- just not all together.
Anyone have a list of what all I need to have in it? Also is there a
list of first aid instructions for ferrets that I can keep in it? I'm
thinking of those times when I may not be home and my boyfriend or
babysitter (not knowledgeable about ferrets at all, but learning...)
might need it.

Treats:
They have me wrapped (quite tightly) around their little paws... plus I'm
a sucker for a cute face as well so I like to give them little treats
every day. (Kiki only likes the Friskies cat treats, MB likes the cat
treats and raisins)They don't get a lot of them. Maybe 4 or 5 cat treats
(they're tiny) and two raisins. Usually about once a day. My question
is how much is TOO much? I'm one of those health conscious people with
my own family and I like to think I have the same standards for the
ferrets. They're both average weight and have no health problems and
I'd like to keep it that way as long as I can. (BTW they HATE the
chewweasels -I don't get it, from what I've heard they're pretty popular.
Darned picky eaters!)
