Linda definitely has a point...we must be fair to Petco and that they
might be having technical difficulties with their board. I agree.
However, technical difficulties do not explain why any "questionable"
posts from people are removed (even those that inform people where to
find a list of ferret shelters in their state). Also, ferrets do not
have their own "category" on their forums. It is birds, dogs, cats,
reptiles, small animals (guinea pigs, mice, etc..and no mention of
ferrets). This is a store that sells ferrets, correct? A couple of us
posted in the small animal category about ferret stuff only to find it
removed (even stuff that was not derogatory against Petco).

In addition, I encountered the same problems Heather did...could not log
on or even register under a new name. The interesting part is that when
I went to a different computer, I had no problem registering using the
SAME as previous. It sure looks to me like the source computer is being
blocked. I am not "technically savvy" so I have no idea how they do
this. It certainly does seem odd though. Perhaps blocking certain IP
addresses?

Either way, I don't see how posting about helping ferret shelters hurts
Petco in any way and why the post was removed. I find that upsetting in
itself. No technical difficulty with that. The post was up for a couple
of hours before removal. They have allowed others to post about
breeders/shelters of Guinea Pigs and how to find them. Strange.

The "mystery" of Petco continues....
