I'm very sorry to have read about another "Shelter" that kills ferrets, and
would like to correspond further with the Indiana person who has experienced
this situation.  I live in Lawrence, Kansas - and discovered about a year
ago that our "Humane Society" was doing about the same thing.
 
Please write to me if you are looking for resources on how we have handled
this problem.  I can't say everything is "peachy" yet, but I can say that
we've come a long way...
