As I understand it, USDA licensing is required if over $500 animals
per year is sold to distributors, dealers, etc. The USDA files posted
yesterday included the Sunshine State Ferrets website from January
2008, documenting many Carolina Ferrets for sale through a distributor
at that time.

Additionally, http://archive.org/ has copies of the Carolina Ferrets
website for many years at http://ferrets.htmlplanet.com/

August 2, 2001, the Carolina Ferrets website said, "For quantity
orders, deduct 15% on orders of 6 or more kits. Wholesale and
distributer prices available--quotes by quantity ordered."

Decmber 31, 2007, the Carolina Ferrets website said, "Shipping to
countries outside of the USA will only be available to brokers and
distributers with the proper export licenses and permits."
