I keep seeing notes from people that "need" to get rid of their pet
ferrets. They describe the ferrets, list what they think is a fair
price, and then name another price to include the cage and accessories.
That people trade their pets like commodities is so sad!

I can understand making a payment to a shelter who is trying to save, and
bear the expense, of many ferrets. But an owner, whatever their financial
situation, should be trying to find the best home for their pet, not the
best price.

I won't even get into judging people's reasons. I'm sure there are some
valid ones - everyone's situation is different. But please! How can
people be so careless when in control of the life and happiness of a
creature who is totally dependent on them (and loving towards them!!).

I'm glad to see more people realizing the joys of ferrethood, but I
agree that their popularity will make them victims of a lot of people's
ignorance. I wish people had to take an animal care class before buying
an animal. To bad there can't be an animal purchase tax that goes to
educating the public and rescuing the animals.

Thanks to all who work on the fuzzies behalf!!
