The key is to know if your state classifies ferrets as domestic or
exotic-wild.  In most states, only domestic animals have quarrantine
protections with proof of rabies vaccines.  In my state, ferrets are
considered exotic so even WITH proof of vaccination, anyone bit may
insist the ferret be euthanized to check for rabies.
