Jennifer Hoh <[log in to unmask]> (Sat, 6 Jul 1996 00:01:38 -0400) may have a
point. We have a similar beast (3lbs at 21 weeks) although ours does retain
the a propensity for tipping over beer cans, falling off furniture and
otherwise creating havoc.

On other things, Sunday was our annual spring cleaning of the cage. Instead
of their usual one hour excercise first thing in the morning, everyone got
three and a half hours while we totally dismantled the cage and scrubbed and
hosed it down. Five ferrets running round the rear deck while you hose
everything can be _very_ interesting. Two were in ecstasy in the hose
spray. The same two I might add that subsequently faught tooth and nail to
avoid being bathed. (Bathing is also a once a year activity as we find they
generate less odor from normal skin oils than when we used to wash them
every three or four weeks.) Anyway, they were eventually rounded up and
returned to a freshly cleaned environment. ("This looks like home but is
sure doesn't smell like home.")

Came time for evening excercise and nonone could be found. Five absolutely
exhausted limp ferrets! I can report that everything is back to normal by
Monday morning except for the long scratches and puncture wounds my wife and
I carry from having bathed five ferrets.
