If the temp is in the 80's then it is time to turn the ac on!  Sorry
ferrets heat stress when it gets that hot.  Sure a fan will help, but
the ac is needed.
 
Another thing to do for the summer is to put a heavy water bowl (one
they can not spill) in with the ferrets.  Ferrets will drink more from
a bowl than from a water bottle.  You can also add an ice cube to the
water bowl to keep the water cool and give the ferrets something to play
with.
