Hi anyone who knows,
I need to continue giving my CHF patient vit C but am wondering how others
do it. What form do you use and how do you give it? For those of you who
remember my postings about Poto, want to let you know that he is doing
great. He has however lost a great deal of his sight so his playing like a
kit is less frequent. Not being able to see as well makes him more tentaive
about his activity. So we take long exploring walks everyday. I am always
ready to quit before he is. When we almost lost him with critical CHF
symptoms, I prayed for him to make it to seven years old. That was almost
one and a half years ago. He is 7+ and of course I am now praying for him
to make it to eight! The Q-10 and Vit E and Vit C are no doubt helping him.
His lasix dosage has had to gradually be increased to help his heart manage
the weakening heart, and he is still on 1/4th of a 1mg tablet of enacard
(helps strengthen his heart and with fluid output also). 9 out of 10 days
are great for him and he is really enjoying his life. He remains a bit
overweight, even though he is on restricted vet formula Eukanuba food. But
he has not gained more! I all of you folks to find out what your ferret's
weight should be and try not to let them gain too much weight. It is
difficult to get it off of them if you have free roaming ferrets or have
more than one ferret who eats together. You have to keep food out all the
time for the others and the overweight one may continue to overeat and it
can mean early, untimely death by way of congestive heart failure to your
little ferret. Anyway, anyone who gives vit or has ideas to give it,
please let me know.

Thanks--Jan and Poto
