I was catching up on my FMLs yesterday & read someone post on how "Special"
ferret owners are. That got me thinking about some of the threads I've read
since subscribing to the FML. We have had lists of ferret names, contests
for spoiled ferts, fert nicknames [Bob, you did get my "Count" - after
another blood sucker and "Ali - 'cause he likes to dook it out - and my
snailmail address didn't you? (If you let me know the size of the
certificate I could e working on a suitable frame to put it in when it
comes. :)] We have talked - extensively - about their poop, their theiving
ways, and their "nasty" habits in general. We have discovered what to call
a group of them & decided we could do better than "business" (I think
business is appropriate because they sure give us the business.) We spend
hundreds to thousands of dollars each decade on Vet bills, even more on
"fert condos" & toys. We talk, for weeks, about plastic balls & chocolate.
And then, last night, for the very FIRST time in the 2 months I've had my
Beastie, I he gave me a "kiss" -- on my LIPS NO LESS! (And, I am ashamed to
say, I liked it.) I'm not so sure, as I look at all this that I'd say we're
"special" as much as I'd say we might need help. :) (I mean, we even need a
BIG moderator to help us be civil sometimes!) :)

I also started wondering "what do you call a group of ferret 'owners'?"
Now, I am NOT suggesting a contest - but considering all that's been
said, my own suggestion would be an ASYLUM of ferret "owners." What do
ya'll think?
Have a HAPPY & BLESSED holiday season!
