well i had read in the faq that "some ferrets go nuts after a bath".. but
i had no idea to what extent! cookie hadnt been bathed yet (at least not
by me, and doubtfully by her previous owners), i had to wait a little while
due to a flea treatment i had given her. anyway as a form of
procrastination (exam week) i decided tonight was bath time!!! periscope
tried to get away, as usual, and slithered around afterwords all over the
towel on the floor (in this heat, i let them dry themselves off). then it
was cookie's turn. she curled in half when i put her under the tap (she
always curls in half, she'll sit on your hand basically folded in two).
then i saw her tail go up. since periscope is descented, i didn't know
what to expect, but she didn't spray (i don't think) fortunatly. anyhow,
as soon as the bath was over and i put her on the ground she literally went
nuts!! she was running repeatedly into the side of a box, bouncing up and
down in place (about 1.5 feet off the ground) rolling all over the beanbag
and lunging at me and periscope with her mouth open. her tail was
bottle-brushed but she was dooking, so i am not quite sure what her frame
of mind was.. relief maybe? it went on for about 15 minutes.
anyway it was the most hilarious thing i have ever seen, but i had to get
out of the way since she had a crazed look in her eyes and i began to fear
for my feet.
