Here is the count from Eastern NC, Swansboro, Jacksonville area.  Between
my partner and I we have 9 rescues we are housing.  Two need homes without
other ferrets and are singles.  One is a special needs ferret, insulinoma,
heart murmur and ferret asthma.  I consider him unadoptable, he needs
sponsors.  The other 6 are bonded pairs.  One pair is not ready to be
adopted.  Just got them in, had been eating dog food, covered with fleas,
very pale noses and gums.  Need a lot of work before they are ready.
 
We are satelites of the Ferret Guardian Rescue Haven located in
Statesville, NC.  The main shelter has 60 + ferrets.
