Who was that wonderful person that suggested vinegar as a repellent for
ferrets? I thought, yea right this is crazy, went down to the local
supermarket and bought white distilled vinegar and sprayed it in the
downstairs bathroom and around the front door. (That's where the girls go
poop). Well I have found that if I spray every two days, no poops will
appear.

Yesterday I was cleaning the upstairs bathroom, I locked the doors to the
room (because of toxic chemicals) which in turn upset Rosie, Maxie and
Sammi. They let me know how upset they were by scratching and digging in
the carpet. I sprayed the vinegar on the door and carpet.....I never saw
three ferrets go so crazy, they started jumping around, sneezing and then
ran. Needless to say they haven't returned to the door yet. What a
wonderful idea. It cost me $.89 for 20oz. of white distilled vinegar
opposed to the $7.99 for the 16oz. cat and dog repellent. And they both
need to be sprayed about as often. Thank you, thank you. I heard that
rubbing alcohol works just as well. Maybe since it's a stronger smell, it
doesn't require to be sprayed as often. I haven't tryed it yet.

If anyone lives in the Humbolt, California area, please send me an anonymous
post at [log in to unmask] before August 27, 1996. This is very
important!!!!! Well everyone have a great day!
