More info on Hill's A/D can food.

The actual values of the can food are slightly different from the label's
minimums and maximums. Actual "as is" protein 10.5%, and fat 6.6%. The
actual "dry matter" protein is 45.7% and the actual "dry matter" fat is
28.7%. As you can see these protein and fat levels are higher than ferret
or kitten foods. The actual carbohydrate level is 17.4% which is lower
than most ferret or kitten food. The extra calories needed for recovery
are coming from the high fat and protein content. Plus the fiber content
is real low.

Hope that clears up some of the confusion,
Jerry Murray, DVM
