Hi,
I bring my ferrets everywhere with me. Both have a harness and leash which
I use when outdoors. I also carry them in a backpack which they usually
curl up in and sleep.

My female Megan is the most quiet and meek ferret I have ever seen. I have
always let people hold her and pet her. Now Loki is a different matter. He
is 4 months old and still learning that fingers are not for biting. I never
let anyone toiuch him, because I have heard that New Hampshires laws would
allow him to be put down and tested for rabies if he drew blood. Not that
he ever has.

I happened to be talking to a man who told me that in New HAmpshire the law
is that all ferrets must be in a pet carrier outside of their homes. He
told me that they could be seized even if they are on leashes. Does anyone
know if this is true or not?

I had written a couple of weeks ago about Megan losing weight, but no one
responded. I am still concerned about her weight loss. I have begun taking
Loki out of the cage and allowing Megan to eat first. Once she has
finished, I take her out for playtime. She is eating so I wonder if what
was happening was Loki was pushing her out of the way and not letting her
get food. He then uses the food dish as a toy and dumps the remaining food,
leaving none for poor hungary Megan. Any ideas would be appreciated.
