WMJI 105.7FM only gave us about 5 mnutes of air time, and the hosts were so
emanored of their own voices and jokes that Jean and I often were
interrupted and couldn't get our point across, but overall I think it went
quite well.

Jean and I each brought 2 ferrets. I had my little girl Belle and big boy
Buttons. Belle walked across the control panel, turning on a telephone
line. "Look out she's calling 911!" one of them quipped. Buttons walked
right off the counter onto the floor and was put away in the carrier.
Meanwhile, John Lanigan, one of Cleveland's top radio personalities, picked
up Belle to prevent further damage ("She'll probably take us off the air!"
he said.) Belle, the perfect lady that she is, charmed him completely. He
spent the rest of the time saying how cute she was, and even kissed her.
Boy, the others gave him a hard time for that!

As far as an interview goes, it was pretty useless. We did manage to get
across that they were domesticated, not nocturnal, and that all pets should
be supervised with small children. But all to soon Lanigan was thanking us
for coming and going to a commercial.

During the commercial, as we were putting the ferrets back in their
carriers, Jean told him the identity of one of the ferrets she brought: it
was none other than Phoenix!! They were stunned and surprised. "But he's
so sweet and calm!"

After the commercial Lanigan said on the air that one of the ferrets was the
one accused of biting the child, and how well behaved he was. They than
took phone calls and a man called in saying his daughter had 4 ferrets and
what wonderful pets they were.

Please feel free to email the station and thank them for having us on!

[log in to unmask] -- the morning show producer and a former ferret owner; had
"Oogie" for 7 years before he died from adrenal tumor; is thinking maybe she
should get another one!
