I saw your post about your ferret's preference to use the second floor of
the cage instead of the litter box for a potty.  My four month female Cleo
did the same thing.  I finally gave in and put the litter box on the second
floor.  She hasn't missed it since.  You just can't argue with these little
critters!  We all know how persistent they can be.  I suggest using cage
clips to attach the box to the cage, otherwise your ferret may decide to
redecorate by moving it around or dumping it over.  Filling up the free
corners of the cage with food dishes, toys, or sleeping boxes can help
encourage your fuzzy to use the correct area too.  Good luck.
