The one thing that my ferrets go crazy for (all three of them) is red
licorice. Rattling the bag will send them flying out of drawers, quilts,
and pillowcases. I have used this fact to my advantage and can now call
each individually and each has mastered a few tricks. I would like them
to put my stuff BACK into the drawers, but I don't think that is going to
happen.
I had a discussion with a Scottish terrier breeder last night and she said
that although they are intelligent and very trainable, supervision, supervision,
and supervision are the only way to go! The comment about Jack Russell
Terriers made in today's issue is DEFINITELY TRUE. They are the most
fearless dogs I have ever met and have gone as far as to not even have
a fear of heights.
