I finally figured out a way for Ozzy to actually be civil to new
people! My best friend is hanging out with me this weekend and decided
to take the risk of putting ferretone on his hands and ankles (yes
ankles... The little bugger even goes after mine sometimes). It worked
like a charm! The little brat started licking and licking and licking
some more even after I was sure that all of the ferretone was gone.

This is a huge improvement since before this, I was unable to let Ozzy
out when I had friends over. Luckily, he likes olive oil just as much
as he likes ferretone so anyone who walks in my door will be told to
smear some olive oil on their hands before being near Ozzy. It was so
nice to see him minding his manners for once!

Of course, he still will try to bite anyone who tries to pet him while
I'm holding him. When he's in my arms, the only person he wants to be
around is me. He doesn't mind being pet if he can't see the person but
if a strange hand goes near his mouth... those sharp pearly whites of
his are immediately put on display. It's annoying but kind of endearing
since I know he sees me as his momma and is protective of me.
