We really are grateful for all the response to my cry for help the other
day! I know so much more now and it is helping me. I never thought that
Elrond had a problem with his tail-lessness (he looks just like a cocacola
bear) but the whole deafness thing is a major pain! He is hard to train, he
is very skiddish when out-of-doors, and bathing it tough because there can
be NO water even close to his ears. Somebody told me that his blood vessels
are there and that the membrane is missing and it could grow back (but this
is coming from a vet who asked if I was sure it was a boy and that she
thought it was a girl until I showed her were his thingy was!) He can hear
very loud or high sounds and responds sometimes. He is a lovebug and even
though the pet store said they would take him back for a full refund, I
would NEVER do it.

I have something to say about the whole gerbil issue. My Silvermitt,
Mordred, killed my guinea pig by pure shock. It was so sad to see him
laying there after the fert got to him. I thought my GP was safe but those
little rascals can get in almost anything.

I have ferret-proofed my couch (though my recliner is completely gutted) and
you should see how mad a ferret can get!! HEEHEE!

thanks again!
