Dear Ferret Folks-

Yesterday Todd noted of ferret teleportation that "See, Tanner was
the victim of cat subtraction. That is a phenomenon where a cat,
who is beset by ferrets in general, wishes a ferret would just "go
away"...unfortunately, they aren't really good at this and a random
ferret usually ends up disappearing."

Yes! So true! They wind up in some cosmic hinterland which is ALSO
where all the socks go when you do the wash and only TWO socks ever come
out of the dryer for every THREE that you put into the washer. Ferrets
who have made the trip and lived to tell about it always long to return
to this mystical place...some even apparently believe that if you hoard
ENOUGH socks, one of them might just be the ticket back...

Then there is 'wife subtraction'. A wife, feeling beset by men in
general, wishes her husband would just "go away"...We aren't too good at
this either, (if you keep feeding them apparently they won't EVER leave)
and every now and then, some man somewhere just sort of...starts to
...fade... ..out...

Right, Todd?... Todd?
Todd, are you still there?
