Melissa here:

Before i owned ferrets, i owned several pet rats. Every one of them stuck
their noses up mine. When my ferrets do it, i dont think it's abnormal. :)

Potpie prefers to drink water from some surface too. Maybe some sort of
instinctual freshness issue? if you stir water up you can tell if it's
stale or stagnant? Who knows; it just means that i have to keep Potpie
away from the dish drying rack and mat, which collects water.

I had a problem a few months back with Noodle and Friday going next to,
not in, the litterbox. I watched them carefully for a bit - turned out
that one would go next to the litterbox because someone else was in it. I
replaced the box with a much much much larger one, and now everyone has
room. Since they both woke up at the same time, they needed to go at the
same time.

Question: Noodle is now quite chunky. He's 7 mo old. When do i try to
start putting him on more of a diet? Right now i'm merely attempting to
exercise him more.

Melissa, Potpie, Noodle, Friday.
