The biggest piece of advice I could give you or anyone in a state that does
not provide for quarantine of vaccinated ferrets is "BE CAREFUL".  Keep the
ferret in your hands.  If someone wants to touch it, offer only the end that
doesn't bite.  Hold its head and hold it toward you.  Don't let anyone else
hold it.  It's too big of a risk.
