Marc,

We have a ferret shelter in our house. At times we've had over 30 ferrets
here all in the same small room in which the family watches TV. Most people
remark on seeing that many ferrets that they wouldn't have even known we had
a ferret in the house. There was no odor to give them away.

Right now we have three Unaltered ferrets. Now there is no question that we
have ferrets. It's the unaltered ones that produce the odor. Once
neutered/spayed the odor quickly diminishes and after a couple of weeks and a
bath, they only have a faint musky odor and that you'll notice only once you
put your nose up against it.

We bathe ours about 2-4 times a year. We use Avon SSS in the rinse water.
Outside of that maybe Straight Arrow Mane and Tail Conditioner (for horses)
once in a while.
