When will people learn, you just can't treat ferrets with kit gloves?
(Sorry, too obvious of a pun there to ignore!  I hope someone else finds it
funny or I'll feel like a real goober.)
 
I'm gradually getting Dervish used to her harness.  When I'm confident in
her ability to...well, mainly her ability not to get out of it, I'll start
taking her out in a bag with me.  Everyone in the free world wants to meet
her, and I'd love to take her in in a bag with me to meetings and
rehearsals.  She'd adore it.  Besides, I'd like to let her romp on the UT
grounds.  (They're beautiful and I know she'd love it...I even know the
off-times when there aren't people around to bother her.)
 
The horrible houseguest has left.  Before she went, I explained to her that
I was very, very mad that she kicked at Dervish and that she should treat
other's people's pets with respect, especially when she is a GUEST in their
home (especially a guest who wasn't invited, but I didn't say that).  She
said something rather nasty about my baby (called her a smelly rat!!), and
I told her that as long as I lived with Emily (my roomie), I didn't want
her back in my apartment.  I would understand her being upset about the
ambush from yesterday, but since she's previously abused ferrets and I
found out she'd bothered Dervish (when I wasn't home, she went and poked at
her in the cage!  The wench!) I think she deserved it (if you met this
girl, you'd have been cheering when you heard about the air raid.  She's
rude and crude and mean-natured).  NO ONE is allowed in my room without me
anymore.  Argh.
