Hello, this is Angela, and I know I haven't sent any letters recently. I
had been busy taking care of Patches. She recently (about a month ago),
died in her sleep. She acctually died of old age other over her fur loss.
Our vet said that she wasn't a good candidate for surgery, she was too old
and weak. She probably would have died during it. She passed away
comfortably, with her food next to her side, and a very soft bed to lie in.
I grieve her loss, but I know she passed happily. She was bald and
beautiful (please excuse the phrase).

On a good note, I just went to Suzan's house (she is a ferret rescue
downtown from Peoria, AZ). I went to see a male chocolate, neutered, and
decented. She rescued him frome a young man that told her he could no
longer take care of him. I thought it was good that he recognized that. He
had him sleeping in newspaper, and you can imagine how that felt. He WAS
not litter trained, but caught on quickly. He is a kit of one year. He
obviously has not finished growing, because his skin doesn't fit, his feet
are too big, and he has a strangely large head compared to his body. He is
very skinny; he used to be on canned food, and I hope I am not offending
anybody when I say, that was a pretty dumb idea. His coat is rough and very
dull from the food. He does not know what attention really is. For the
first two hours I had him, he slept in my arms. I hope he is very happy in
my house with his soft blankets and quality food.
