As for ferret licensing, what did we expect?  For years we've been
campaigning, whining, and complaining that ferrets weren't treated the same
as dogs and cats.  Now we're gaining equality in the eyes of the rabies
laws, so most places that require licensing for dogs and cats will also
require it for ferrets.  What's the problem?  The license virtually always
accompanies the rabies vaccination, as that's what it's designed to track.
I think purchase of a rabies license is a pretty small price to pay for
recognition of the rabies vaccine and a known quarantine period.
