Don't remember who the original posters were for these questions...so here
goes.

Re chewers : I had a problem chewer who would eat anything within mouth's
reach...hammocks, sleepsacks, socks, cats...you name it. It got to the
point I couldn't leave anything in the cage at night because he would eat
it. Someone suggested going to a fabric store and picking up some soft
polyester cloth and making hammocks etc out of that. It worked...he won't
eat the polyester. Must be something about the feel of it in their mouth.
That would be worth a try. Another thing we used were ferret chew toys from
a company here in Ca. They are totally digestable if the ferret eats a
piece of it. They are really wonderful and give something safe for the
ferret to chew on. For more info on those email [log in to unmask]

I also have 2 angoras, and they get along wonderfully with my other 4
ferrets. If you do get an angora...be prepared for a much more energetic
ferret. They can run your socks off. 1 angora has more energy than 4 hyper
US kits. They will also get bigger than your standard US ferret. Someone
mentioned in last nights fml about constricted noses. Their noses are
definatly different...they have an extra fold of skin in them and it's very
furry, but it doesn't seem to affect their breathing. (very cute).

ok...couldn't resist a limerick...

There once was a ferret from LA
Who wanted to go outside and play.
The look in his eyes
Was of hurt and despise
When he was told of the Ca. fish and gestapa.

Good luck to the original posters :)
