I haven't a large pool of ferrets to compare deaf ferrets to hearing
ferrets.  But from what I have seen, I do not see any correlation between
ear wax production and deafness or not.  In my experience, it has been
completely random.  And if I had to choose, I mean if I absolutely had
to choose, in fact, I've seen less production in my home.
 
Now this is minus any physical cause of deafness such as mites,
infection, and anatomical ear defects.  All of those would obviously
can increase ear wax productivity.
