At quarter to ten Meltdown threw a clot (and being freaked Itold a friend
who can help us it was her L, but it's her right). We'd just had her in our
shirts, hugging, cuddling, and letting her sleep on our chests, and had
returned her to her cage not ten minutes before. I looked in to check on
her and her leg was making a weird motion over and over again, then it just
went limp and useless. We called Basking Ridge Animal Hospital and Dr.
Hollo met us there. Fortunately, her temperature had not dropped too
terribly, and the clot was obviously in the femoral artery rather than her
brain. (We'd taken her in expecting that those were our last minutes with
her and she would need a mercy shot.) She still has sensory in the leg, and
the color is purple rather mthan blue. forgive me for this getting messy.
i am one handed typing now while she is in towel on mt lap. she is on
anticoagulants, massage, being kept warm, etc. someonevwill be up with her
around the clock now.
