'Tis said that the world if just full of willing people, a few willing to
work and the rest willing to watch them. Like the Marines, I'm looking for
a few good men (and women)

Help! Help! In an effort to improve the Ferret Olympics (trying all the
time) it has been suggested that all 10 events be run simultaneously rather
than being run consecutively. This way participants can enter their
favorite events as they wish, rather than having to wait for a particular
event to come up in the schedule.

It's impossible for just a few persons to run the Olympics in this manner
unless there are those of you who'd care to help out a little. By helping
out a little, I mean putting up the shade tarp and taking it down
afterwards. Also, if you can bring a small writing tablet (w tear-out
sheets) and several pencils or ball-point pens along with a timing stop
watch (most digital wrist watches have timers in them) that would be most
helpful. Try being a judge at some of these events and I think you'll
really enjoy yourself; after all, it's really for the ferrets, isn't it?

If possible please email me of your intended help and try to be at Sayre's
Park at 11 AM so that all the events can be set up by noon on Sunday the
28th.

Thank you, one and all. Edward Lipinski, Der
Frettchenlustbarkeitsfuehrer.

PS Thumping my chest a bit here: check out the local newspaper The Mercer
Island Reporter, Section C June 24, 1998. Ferrets NorthWest got a nice
little write-up along with several photos of my big boy UNKMI-ichi kissing
this old guy and also sitting up.
