Though I haven't been in the US for a couple of years now, and
haven't seen for-sale ferrets since Sept 2008, I still tend to think
of new-style and old-style Marshall ferrets. The old ones were skinny,
jolly and lively. The new ones are dear, but very different -- at
least mine are -- bulkier, slower, less playful and less interested
in interacting with people.

I do remember that Marshalls was breeding for size and bulk in at least
the 2007-8 timeframe. But I don't remeber hearing about personality
differences. What do you think?

Also, do you think the old-style ferret been phased out?
