Personally, I think they're more like kender, from the DragonLance series
of books... curious about everything, very good at "aquiring" objects
which once were in someone else's pocket, afraid of nothing (even the
things they should be).  I always thought that Weiss and Hickman (the
authors) must have had ferrets when they wrote those books.  :)
