I've been meaning to mention this one for a while, but the Sandman
reference (thanks for that btw!) yesterday prodded me into action.  There's
a nifty online comic called Sluggy Freelance, at http://www.sluggy.com/
One of the recurring characters is a talking ferret named Kiki, who really
is such a ferret!  The comic is definitely not for everyone-- adult
language, cartoon violence, switchblade-packing foul-mouthed mini-lops from
hell-- you get the picture.  Also wonderful sci-fi and general geek spoofs.
Those of you who might enjoy it will probably really enjoy it.
